Mentorship Made for You

Mentorship is the cornerstone of the ECMP. All mentees are paired with a MedVet Mentor who is an experienced ER veterinarian with a passion for teaching. Mentee-Mentor pairings are carefully curated, ensuring that the unique needs and interests of the mentee are matched to their mentor’s expertise. From day one, this training relationship is designed with the mentee in mind, proving an individualized learning experience like no other.

Mentors support mentees by:

✓ Being side-by side with the mentee for 100% of clinical shifts the first 6 months of the program
✓ Holding regular feedback sessions to ensure mentees’ goals are met

✓ Connecting mentees with resources to further their clinical and professional skills, allowing for career growth

✓ Reviewing 100% of mentees’ records for the first 4 months of the program to provide targeted coaching on written medical communication

✓ Pacing mentees’ caseload to ensure that the complexity and number of patients increases as mentees’ abilities grow

Progress At Your Pace – Program Timeline

The ECMP accepts candidates on a rolling admission basis. Start dates are flexible and easily tailored to students graduating from vet schools on an off-cycle schedule.
