MedVet Mobile Now Offering Internal Medicine Services to Pets

MedVet, the leader in specialty and emergency healthcare for pets, is expanding its specialty care options for Gulf Coast pets. MedVet Mobile is now offering Internal Medicine with Dr. Marc Bercovitch.

“We’re thrilled to offer internal medicine care for Mobile pets,” said Dr. Roland Maertens, Medical Director. “Adding this specialty expands the services we can provide to pets and their loving families, and we’re the only location offering this care in our area. There are many chronic illnesses and conditions that pets experience that impact their quality of life. Having a board-certified specialist to help address these concerns will make a significant impact on our patients’ lives.”

Conditions commonly treated by Internal Medicine include blood disorders, endocrine diseases, gastrointestinal disorders, geriatric diseases, immune-mediated disorders, infectious diseases, kidney and urogenital diseases, liver problems, pancreatic disorders, and respiratory diseases. MedVet Mobile also offers advanced diagnostics to support internal medicine treatment needs which includes endoscopic procedures (such as bronchoscopy and colonoscopy), X-rays, and more.

MedVet Mobile’s expert Internal Medicine department is comprised of a Board-Certified Small Animal Internal Medicine Specialist, Dr. Marc Bercovitch, with a highly trained support team who uses state-of-the-art equipment and progressive medical techniques to provide comprehensive care for dogs and cats.

With a special interest in endocrinology, gastroenterology, and nephrology, Dr. Bercovitch says his favorite part of practicing veterinary medicine is making a difference in the lives of clients, patients, and the local veterinary community.

“I’m excited to join the team at MedVet Mobile to provide exceptional internal medicine care for pets,” said Dr. Bercovitch. “Determining the cause of an issue with a pet’s internal body systems can be a challenge since they can’t tell us what they’re experiencing. Our team is here to find the cause of the discomfort and do all we can to give pets the best quality of life and more time with their loving families.”

Pet owners can speak with their family veterinarian to obtain a referral for specialty care. Dr. Bercovitch will see patients by appointment at MedVet Mobile located at 2573 Government Blvd., Mobile, AL 36606. For more information, contact the hospital at 251.706.0890.
