Dr. Kate Bailey is the Vice President of Medical Excellence and Education at MedVet.
In this role, she oversees and enhances medical education, quality initiatives, patient safety, and training programs across the organization. Dr. Bailey reports to Dr. Lauren Boyd and manages a team that includes the Director of Postgraduate Medical Education, the Director of Medical Services, the Director of Medical Quality, and the Director of Veterinary School Relations.
Dr. Bailey brings a wealth of experience to her position, having previously served as the Vice President of Education and Quality at United Veterinary Care. During her tenure, she significantly improved educational programs and quality standards. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine and completed a residency in anesthesia and analgesia at the same institution. Additionally, she holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Veterinary Medical Education from the Royal Veterinary College. Dr. Bailey has also served as a faculty member at North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine, where she contributed to the education and training of veterinary students.
Dr. Bailey is an active member of the veterinary community, currently serving on the ACVAA Board of Directors and the North American Veterinary Anesthesia Society (NAVAS) Board of Directors as the Director, ACVAA Representative. Outside of her professional commitments, she enjoys hiking, reading, and knitting, as well as spending time with her family and pets.
