Doug Schwartz is MedVet’s Vice President, Controller. He joined the organization in 2023.
As Vice President, Controller, Doug oversees the accounting operations and external financial reporting, with additional responsibilities over treasury and insurance. He is keen on financial stewardship and process improvement.
He brings more than 16 years of experience in finance at a mix of Big 4 accounting, public, and private firms, including roles at Deloitte, Cives Corporation, and Liquibox. Prior to joining MedVet, Doug served as Corporate Controller at Emplifi, Inc. in Columbus, OH.
Doug, a Certified Public Accountant, earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Accounting from The Ohio State University and a Master of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Cincinnati.
Doug and his wife have three young children and a mini-Goldendoodle. They enjoy spending their time keeping up with their children’s activities, including various sports, gymnastics, and dance.
