Charlie Jay, MS, serves as the Vice President, Technology & System Strategy for MedVet. In this role, he is the primary liaison between the IT team and our Healthcare, Operations, and Support Services teams. Charlie is responsible for leading enterprise technology strategy and execution, technology governance, portfolio and financial management, digital innovation, project delivery, and business relationship management.
Prior to joining MedVet in August 2026, Charlie led all facets of information technology with more than 40 years of IT expertise spanning roles as a programmer, systems engineer, consultant, and executive leader. He has nearly 20 years of experience in leadership positions, including five years as CIO of an insurance organization. Throughout his career, Charlie has successfully driven technology initiatives that enabled organizational growth across the healthcare, financial services, and technology services industries.
Charlie earned his bachelor’s degree in computer science and statistics from Radford University. He also holds a master’s degree in computer science from William & Mary.
When not at work, Charlie enjoys spending time with his family, playing guitar and golf, attending live music events, traveling, and is an avid soccer fan.
