Victoria McKaba, DVM, is a Specialty Intern in Veterinary Cardiology at MedVet Columbus.
Dr. McKaba attended the University of Miami where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She then earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Illinois Champaign Urbana College of Veterinary Medicine. Following earning her veterinary degree, Dr. McKaba completed a rotating medicine and surgery internship at Angell Animal Medical Center, and a specialty internship in cardiology and emergency medicine at the University of Pennsylvania Ryan Veterinary Hospital.
Dr. McKaba has co-authored a publication on pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of intravenous and oral apixaban in horses.
Dr. McKaba enjoys all aspects of veterinary cardiology but has a particular interest in small animal cardiology, including the diagnosis and management of feline cardiomyopathy, treatment of critical cardiac patients, long-term management of arrhythmias, and minimally invasive interventional catheterization procedures. Her favorite part of practicing veterinary medicine is having the ability to guide clients to make the best possible decisions for their beloved pets and families.
When not treating patients, Dr. Victoria McKaba enjoys spending time with family and friends, being outdoors with her dog, and rooting for all New York sports teams.
