Ty Gillenwaters, DVM (he/his), is an Emergency Medicine Veterinarian at MedVet West Chester, where she has been a part of the team since 2026.
Dr. Gillenwaters earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Gillenwaters is passionate about exotic animal medicine, with experience working with small mammals, reptiles, birds, and backyard poultry. His favorite aspect of veterinary medicine is providing tangible help to patients and clients when they need it most, using his skills and knowledge to improve the lives of those in his care. He is excited to contribute to MedVet’s high standards of care and looks forward to growing alongside his team.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Gillenwaters lives on a small hobby horse farm where he enjoys trail riding and is actively involved in native plant conservation and ecosystem restoration. He also enjoys gardening, crocheting, and cooking.
