Taylor Johannigman, DVM, is an Emergency Medicine Veterinarian at MedVet Cincinnati where they have been a part of the medical team since 2022.
Dr. Johannigman attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. They then earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from The Ohio State University. Following earning their veterinary degree, Dr. Johannigman worked as the Lead Veterinarian at Athens Area Humane Society. They also worked locally in Cincinnati as an Associate Veterinarian at Lewis Animal Hospital and a Spray/Neuter Relief Veterinarian with Cincinnati Animal CARE.
Dr. Johannigman has contributed to veterinary publications including the Journal of Medical Primatology, Journal of Surgical Research, and Shock.
Dr. Taylor Johannigman has a special interest in diagnostic imaging, clinical pathology, and laceration/wound management. They’re also passionate about shelter medicine and high-quality, high-volume spray/neuter programs. Dr. Johannigman’s favorite part of veterinary medicine is developing feasible diagnostic and treatment plans for pets and their families.
In their free time, as an avid outdoor adventurer, Dr. Johannigman enjoys hiking, backpacking, kayaking, camping, and all things outdoors. They are also heavily involved in the sled dog racing community as both a volunteer veterinarian and a participant with their own huskies.
