Shannon N. Keane, DVM, is Residency Trained in Veterinary Emergency & Critical Care at MedVet Dallas, where she has been a part of the team since 2024.

Dr. Keane completed her undergraduate studies at Fordham University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. She then attended Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine, where she received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. Following veterinary school, Dr. Keane completed a medicine and surgery rotating internship at the Schwarzman Animal Medical Center. She then pursued and completed her residency in critical care at Tufts University College of Veterinary Medicine.

Dr. Keane has a strong interest in infectious disease and sepsis, pain management, toxin ingestions, trauma, and transfusion medicine. Her favorite part of practicing veterinary medicine is the opportunity to treat critically ill patients and facilitate their recovery, ultimately reuniting them with their families.

When not working, Dr. Shannon Keane enjoys spending time outdoors, particularly hiking, kayaking, and paddleboarding.
