Sarah Abdelmessih (she/her), DVM, MS, is an Emergency Medicine Veterinarian at MedVet West Chester and MedVet Cincinnati, where she has been part of the team since 2026.
Dr. Abdelmessih earned a Bachelor of Science degree in molecular biology from Grove City College in Grove City, PA, and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Cornell University in Ithaca, NY.
She then completed a yearlong rotating internship in medicine and surgery at MSPCA Angell West in Waltham, MA, followed by a yearlong avian and exotic specialty internship at the Center for Bird and Exotic Animal Medicine (CBEAM) in Bothell, WA.
Dr. Abdelmessih loves that veterinary medicine is a field of lifelong learning and no two days are ever the same. She finds it particularly rewarding when a critical patient recovers and is able to go home with their loved ones.
When not caring for patients, Dr. Abdelmessih enjoys exploring all things in nature, particularly camping and kayaking and paddleboarding. She is also learning pottery — her pieces, she says, have the kind of charm that only a mother could appreciate.
