Patrick Satchell, DVM, is Residency Trained in Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care at MedVet Cincinnati, where he has been a part of the team since 2024.

Dr. Satchell earned his Bachelor of Science degree in industrial engineering and engineering management from South Dakota School of Mines & Technology. He then pursued his passion for veterinary medicine, obtaining his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine. To further enhance his expertise, Dr. Satchell completed a rotating medicine and surgery internship at the Angell Animal Medical Center, started his critical care residency at The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine, and finished at the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine.

Dr. Satchell has a profound interest in all aspects of veterinary emergency and critical care, with a special focus on coagulation and fibrinolytic disorders, systemic inflammatory response syndrome (SIRS)/sepsis, ventilation, and occasionally assisting with zoo and exotic medicine. He is passionate about diagnosing and treating complex medical conditions using a multidisciplinary approach.

Outside of his professional responsibilities, Dr. Patrick Satchell enjoys education (teaching veterinary interns, residents, etc.), hiking, photography, and traveling. He is also a foodie and loves discovering the best places to eat.
