Nell Dalton, DVM, MS, is an Emergency Medicine Veterinarian at WestVet Urgent Care. She has been a part of the WestVet team since 2005.
Dr. Dalton attended California Polytechnic State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science. She then earned her Master’s degree in Animal and Poultry Sciences from Virginia Tech. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. Prior to joining WestVet, Dr. Dalton spent several years at general veterinary practices in Idaho, Virginia, Minnesota, and North Dakota.
Dr. Nell Dalton has a special interest in emergency medicine, dermatology, dentistry, and minimally invasive surgery. She also enjoys teaching others and has lectured nationally and conducted wet labs in dermatology for the general practitioner.
She is the veterinarian for numerous Idaho law enforcement agencies and has provided canine tactical emergency casualty care lectures and training for operational canine handlers and their medical teams. In addition, she lectures annually at the Special Operations Medical Association meeting.
Dr. Nell Dalton lives in Caldwell, ID with her family, two dogs, and four cats.
