Mikhaila Ellison, DVM, is an Emergency Medicine Veterinarian at MedVet Lexington, where she has been part of the team since 2026.
Dr. Ellison attended Auburn University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in microbial, cellular, and molecular biology with a concentration in microbiology. She then earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine.
Although she enjoys all aspects of emergency veterinary medicine, Dr. Ellison especially values the opportunity to connect with pet owners and support them through challenging moments with their beloved companions. One of her favorite parts of the veterinary profession is helping families navigate difficult decisions while providing compassionate care and guidance.
When not caring for patients, Dr. Mikhaila Ellison enjoys reading both fiction and nonfiction, as well as crocheting, knitting, and sewing. She also enjoys spending time outdoors with her pets, whether relaxing on the porch with her cats or hiking with her dog.
