Mike Cunningham, DVM, is an Emergency Medicine Veterinarian at MedVet Akron and MedVet Urgent Care Mahoning Valley, where he has been part of the team since 2026.
Dr. Cunningham attended The Ohio State University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in applied animal biosciences. He then earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Long Island University College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating cum laude.
Although he enjoys all aspects of emergency veterinary medicine, Dr. Cunningham has particular interests in diagnostic imaging and surgery. One of his favorite parts of the veterinary profession is helping pet owners understand difficult diagnoses and medical conditions that may feel overwhelming, while guiding them through what their pet is experiencing with clarity and compassion.
When not caring for patients, Dr. Mike Cunningham is a recording Christian music artist.
