Meriel C. LeSueur, DVM, Diplomate, ACVIM (Cardiology), is a Board-Certified Veterinary Cardiologist at MedVet Dallas.
Dr. LeSueur earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, TX. She then went on to earn her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University in North Grafton, MA.
Following veterinary school, she completed a yearlong rotating internship in medicine and surgery at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC. She then completed her residency in cardiology at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in Gainesville, FL.
Dr. LeSueur has authored and co-authored publications on topics spanning cardiology and emergency and critical care medicine. She maintains a particular clinical interest in the management of myxomatous mitral valve disease and congestive heart failure.
She is passionate about connecting with pet owners to understand what makes each pet a special part of their family, and individualizing treatment plans that fit their goals and needs. She looks forward to increasing the accessibility of cardiac care in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, including providing clients with interventional cardiology services.
When not caring for patients, Dr. LeSueur enjoys visiting her hometown of Saint Charles, IL, spending time with family, and spending time with her Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Gingerbread.
