Mercedes R. Stover, DVM, is a Veterinary Neurology Resident at MedVet Columbus, proudly serving the team since 2024.
Dr. Stover earned her Bachelor of Science degree in animal science from The Ohio State University, followed by her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She furthered her education by completing a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the VCA Animal Referral and Emergency Center.
Dr. Stover has a special interest in neurology and neurosurgery, as well as inflammatory diseases such as meningoencephalomyelitis of unknown etiology (MUE). She finds great fulfillment in building long-lasting relationships with her patients and their families. Dr. Stover also takes pride in improving the lives of her patients and witnessing their recovery following neurosurgeries. Her goal is to practice the best possible medicine and provide families with comprehensive treatment options so they can make informed decisions for their companion’s wellbeing.
Outside of her professional responsibilities, Dr. Stover enjoys horseback riding, spending time with friends and family, and working out.
