Emergency Medicine Veterinarian
Megan Larson, DVM, is an Emergency Medicine Veterinarian at MedVet Lexington, where she has been part of the team since 2025.
Dr. Larson attended the University of Virginia, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in global development studies. She then earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. Following veterinary school, Dr. Larson completed an internship in equine ambulatory practice at Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital.
Although she enjoys all aspects of emergency veterinary medicine, Dr. Larson especially values the variety and problem-solving that come with the profession. One of her favorite parts of practicing veterinary medicine is that each day brings new opportunities to care for patients and support the families who love them.
When not caring for patients, Dr. Megan Larson enjoys needlepointing, riding horses, and spending time with her family.
