Megan Donovan, DVM, is a Veterinary Surgery Resident at MedVet Columbus and MedVet Columbus, where she has been a part of the team since 2024.
Dr. Donovan began her higher education at Trinity University, where she majored in philosophy and minored in Spanish and film studies. She then pursued her passion for animal science at Sul Ross State University where she majored in animal science. Following this, she obtained her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from St. Matthew’s University School of Veterinary Medicine, completing her clinical rotations at Washington State University School of Veterinary Medicine. To further enhance her expertise, Dr. Donovan completed a rotating medicine and surgery internship at Central Texas Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Hospital, followed by a specialized internship in surgery at Angell Animal Medical Center.
Dr. Donovan has a profound interest in fracture repairs, gastrointestinal surgery, and wound management. She is passionate about fostering close relationships with the families of her patients, working with a collaborative team, and continuously learning and growing as veterinary medicine advances. She is dedicated to helping animals through her profession.
Outside of her professional responsibilities, Dr. Donovan enjoys hiking, horseback riding, learning pheasant hunting in Ohio, shooting sporting clays, spending time with her amazing friends and family, attending spin classes, and training her Golden Retriever, Charlotte.
