Maura Porter, DVM, is a Veterinary Intern at MedVet Chicago, where she has been part of the team since 2026.
Dr. Porter attended The Ohio State University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in biology with a double major in Chinese. She began her veterinary education at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine before earning her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Porter enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine and has a particular interest in neurology. One of her favorite parts of the veterinary profession is the opportunity to continually learn and grow while building relationships with clients and helping them make informed decisions about their pets’ health. She also values working with dedicated colleagues and caring for animals every day.
When not caring for patients, Dr. Maura Porter enjoys hiking, playing piano and violin, rock climbing, and spending time with her two cats.
