Maria E. Giorgi, DVM, is a Cardiology Resident at MedVet Columbus. She has been a part of the team since 2021.
Dr. Giorgi attended Concordia College where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry and Psychology. She graduated magna cum laude, the highest honor awarded. She went on to the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine where she earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. She completed a small animal medicine and surgery rotating internship at the Iowa State University Lloyd Veterinary Medical Center. In addition, Dr. Maria Giorgi has completed Fear Free certification.
Dr. Giorgi has a special interest in cardiology for its ability to extend good quality of life for pets with chronic diseases. Her favorite part of veterinary medicine is forming lasting relationships with pet owners.
In her spare time, Dr. Maria Giorgi enjoys drawing and painting as well as caring for houseplants.
