Maria E. Giorgi, DVM, Diplomate, ACVIM (Cardiology) is a Board-Certified Veterinary Cardiologist at MedVet Phoenix. She has been a part of the MedVet team since 2021, and she joined the Phoenix hospital in 2025.
Dr. Giorgi attended Concordia College where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in biology with a minor in chemistry and psychology. She graduated magna cum laude, the highest honor awarded. She went on to the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine where she earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. She completed a small animal medicine and surgery rotating internship at the Iowa State University Lloyd Veterinary Medical Center. She then completed a residency in Cardiology at MedVet Columbus. Additionally, Dr. Maria Giorgi is proud to have completed a Fear Free certification.
Dr. Giorgi has a special interest in cardiology for its ability to extend a good quality of life for pets with chronic diseases. Her favorite part of veterinary medicine is forming lasting relationships with pets and their families.
In her spare time, Dr. Maria Giorgi enjoys drawing, painting, and caring for her houseplants.
