Laura O’Brien, DVM, MS, is an Emergency Medicine Veterinarian at WestVet Meridian, where she has been a part of the team since 2024.
Dr. Laura O’Brien earned her Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Husson University. She then attended Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, where she received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. Following her veterinary education, Dr. O’Brien completed a Master of Science degree in forensic toxicology at the University of Florida.
Dr. O’Brien’s special interests include emergency care, feline medicine, and geriatric care. One of her favorite aspects of the veterinary profession is making a positive difference in a pet’s life by providing the necessary care and supporting the bond between pets and their families.
When not treating patients, Dr. Laura O’Brien enjoys kayaking, spending time with her human and pet family, swimming, and walking.
