Lara Dickey, DVM, is an Emergency Medicine Veterinarian at MedVet Diley Hill. Dr. Dickey attended Otterbein University where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry. She then earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Dickey’s career in veterinary medicine began at Jefferson Animal Hospital and Regional Emergency Center in Louisville, KY. She then moved from Kentucky to Michigan, starting a career at Gibraltar Veterinary Hospital in Gibraltar, MI. She then realized her true passion was in emergency medicine
Dr. Lara Dickey has a special interest in soft tissue surgery. She grew up with a father who was a small animal veterinarian, influencing her decision to do the same. When away from the hospital, she can be found spending time with her horse, Willa, or cheering on football. She is a fan of both The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Detroit Tigers. She also enjoys sitting down with a good book and a cup of chai and spending time with her family.
