Katie Severson, DVM, is the Medical Director at MedVet New Orleans, where she has been a part of the team since 2026.
Dr. Severson earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine in Baton Rouge, LA, where she graduated as a member of the Phi Zeta Honor Society. She is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration from Louisiana State University, with an anticipated graduation date of July 2027.
Dr. Severson has always been impressed with the high level of medicine practiced at MedVet and is excited to work alongside the talented specialist team. Her professional interests center on nurturing the human-animal bond, and she looks forward to working closely with pet owners and colleagues to provide exceptional care.
When not caring for patients, she enjoys reading, gardening, and spending time with family and friends.
