Kaitlyn Moss, VMD, is a Specialty Intern in Veterinary Surgery at MedVet New Orleans, where she has been a part of the team since 2023.
Dr. Moss earned a Bachelor of Liberal Arts from Villanova University. She then received a degree in education from John Hopkins University, where she taught for five years, and science credits from the University of Maryland Pre-veterinary, Post Baccalaureate program. Dr. Moss then earned a Veterinariae Medicinae Doctoris from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. Following earning her veterinary degree, she completed a rotating medicine and surgery internship and a veterinary surgery internship at Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Moss has been the recipient of numerous merit awards and contributed to the veterinary community through various articles and publications.
During her training, Dr. Moss developed a special interest in small animal surgery, soft tissue repair, and orthopedics with a focus on advanced wound management and research surrounding this topic. She is also passionate about pain management and its critical role s in patient care. Her favorite part of veterinary medicine is solving problems for both patients and their families.
When away from the hospital, Dr. Kaitlyn Moss enjoys spending time outdoors, preferably near water.
