Justin Loudermilk, DVM, is a Specialty Intern in Veterinary Surgery at WestVet Boise. He has been a part of our team since 2026.
Dr. Loudermilk attended the University of Tennessee, where he completed coursework in aerospace engineering and animal science. He then earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. Following veterinary school, he completed a rotating medicine and surgery internship before going on to pursue his specialty internship in surgery.
Dr. Loudermilk is passionate about surgery and the diagnostic work that supports it. He finds great fulfillment in using diagnostic imaging to develop surgical plans and then performing the indicated procedures to help improve patients’ quality of life. He has a particular interest in orthopedic surgery, as restoring mobility can make a meaningful difference in a patient’s daily life at home.
Outside of work, he enjoys swimming, watching hockey, hiking, and movies. He is also a proud cat dad to his cat, Wookiee. Additionally, Dr. Loudermilk is an Eagle Scout, a distinction that reflects his longstanding commitment to service and leadership.
