Julia Fernandez, BVMS (She/Her), is an Emergency Medicine Veterinarian at MedVet Dayton.
Dr. Fernandez earned her Bachelor of Science in animal science from Brigham Young University – Idaho before going on to earn her Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery from the University of Glasgow.
Dr. Fernandez has a particular interest in clinical pathology, internal medicine, and emergency medicine. She is also passionate about sharing knowledge with others and is conversational in both German and Spanish. She is currently enrolled in a Spanish for Veterinarians certificate program through Colorado State University.
Dr. Fernandez was drawn to MedVet after spending eight weeks at MedVet Salt Lake City during a veterinary school summer rotation. She was deeply impressed by the culture, the care shown to staff, and the quality of the veterinarians, and she knew she wanted to return.
When not caring for patients, she enjoys gardening, baking, and traveling.
