Emergency Medicine Veterinarian
Jenn Thomsen, DVM, is an Emergency Medicine Veterinarian at MedVet Vancouver, where she has been part of the team since 2026.
Dr. Thomsen attended the University of Idaho, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish. She then earned a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Wingate University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of North Carolina Wilmington before earning her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.
Although she enjoys all aspects of emergency veterinary medicine, Dr. Thomsen has particular interests in caring for patients with polytrauma, orthopedic injuries, and conditions requiring emergency surgery. She is also passionate about pain management and helping improve quality of life for patients and their families. One of her favorite parts of the veterinary profession is helping patients and families feel calm and cared for during times of distress.
When not caring for patients, Dr. Jenn Thomsen enjoys traveling with her husband and their two Border Collies, going to the beach, finding new Thai restaurants, and weightlifting.
