Janell Sharber, DVM
Emergency Medicine Veterinarian
Janell Sharber, DVM, is an Emergency Medicine Veterinarian at MedVet Northern Utah, where she has been a part of the team since 2024. Dr. Sharber earned a Bachelor of Science degree with a minor in chemistry from the University of Arizona. She then attended Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine, where she obtained her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. Following her graduation, she completed a rotating medicine and surgery internship at VCA South Shore Animal Hospital.
Dr. Sharber has a special interest in emergency surgery, immune-mediated diseases, reproductive medicine and emergencies, and trauma. She particularly enjoys the challenge of diagnosing and treating complex cases, which she finds to be the most rewarding aspect of veterinary medicine.
When away from the hospital, Dr. Sharber enjoys raising Silken Windhounds and showing and handling various sighthounds for the American Kennel Club, including Afghans, Borzoi, Saluki, and Windhounds.
