Garrett J. Smith, DVM, is an Emergency Medicine Veterinarian at MedVet Mandeville and MedVet New Orleans, where he has been part of the team since 2026.
Dr. Smith attended Auburn University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in animal science. He then earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine.
Although he enjoys all aspects of emergency veterinary medicine, Dr. Smith has particular interests in dermatology, ophthalmology, and surgery. One of his favorite parts of the veterinary profession is building connections within the community while helping strengthen the bond between pets and the people who love them.
When not caring for patients, Dr. Garrett Smith enjoys crafting, painting, and spending time with friends and his dog, Stella.
