Dominique Capaldo, DVM, is a Veterinary Internal Medicine Resident at MedVet New Orleans, where she joined the team in 2022.
Dr. Dominique Capaldo received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from the University of North Carolina. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. She then completed a rotating medicine and surgery internship at Auburn University.
Dr. Capaldo’s favorite part of practicing veterinary medicine is the opportunity it provides for continual learning. She has developed a special interest in the areas of liver diseases, immune mediated diseases, and fungal diseases.
Outside of work, Dr. Capaldo enjoys thrift shopping, playing soccer, watching sports, and spending time with her dog, Opus, a Pitt Bull mix she adopted while in St. Kitts. Opus has been her constant companion, joining Dr. Capaldo in her journey across two countries and five states.
