Catherine Aaronson, DVM

Emergency Medicine Veterinarian

Catherine Aaronson, DVM, is an Emergency Medicine Veterinarian at MedVet Chicago, where she has been part of the team since 2026.

Dr. Aaronson attended the University of Tulsa, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in biology pre-med with minors in chemistry and creative writing. She then earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine.

Although she enjoys all aspects of emergency veterinary medicine, Dr. Aaronson especially enjoys working through complex medical conditions and finding creative solutions that help both patients and their families. One of her favorite parts of the veterinary profession is bringing comfort and support to the people and pets she encounters each day.

When not caring for patients, Dr. Catherine Aaronson enjoys baking, creative writing, dancing, reading, volunteering with the elderly, and design. She is also a TEDx speaker, with her presentation, “Abuse Hurts at Any Age,” published on TED.com.
