Bailey A. DeGroat, DVM, is an Emergency Medicine Veterinarian at MedVet Toledo, where she has been part of the team since 2026.
Dr. DeGroat earned her Bachelor of Animal Science degree from Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa, before going on to earn her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in Columbus, Ohio.
Her favorite part of veterinary medicine is managing emergency and critical cases. She enjoys the combination of problem-solving, hands-on procedures, and teamwork required to help patients through some of their most challenging moments.
Outside of work, Dr. DeGroat enjoys spending time outdoors, running, working on home renovation projects, creating content for her veterinary small business, The Turquoise Vet, and spending time with her dogs. She also enjoys agriculture, livestock production, and staying involved in the food animal industry.
