Andreas Bachelez, DVM, Diplomate, ACVS-SA, Diplomate, ECVS, is a Board-certified Veterinary Surgeon at MedVet Vancouver. He joined our team in 2023.
Dr. Bachelez earned a Baccalauréat degree in France and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from L’École nationale vétérinaire de Lyon. He completed a small animal medicine and surgery internship at the University of Montréal. Following this, Dr. Bachelez finished a small animal surgery internship at CENTREDMVET Montréal and a small animal surgery residency at Washington State University.
Dr. Bachelez greatly enjoys performing orthopedic surgery and advanced soft tissue procedures. He is passionate about veterinary surgery for its complex blend of precision, dexterity, and manual skills, alongside problem-solving and human-animal relations. His favorite part of veterinary medicine is helping injured pets get better so they can enjoy a full life with their loving families.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Andreas Bachelez enjoys listening to classical music, playing the piano and the trumpet, fly fishing and tying, and building boats in his wood shop.
