Amy Oberstadt, DVM, DACVIM (SAIM), is a Board-Certified Small Animal Internal Medicine Specialist at MedVet Dayton, where she has been a part of the team since 2022.
Dr. Oberstadt attended the University of California where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior. She then earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Western University of Health Sciences. Following earning her veterinary degree, she completed a rotating medicine and surgery internship in Southfield, Michigan, and an Internal Medicine residency at Michigan State University.
Dr. Amy Oberstadt has authored publications on radioactive iodine uptake in hyperthyroid cats after administration of recombinant human thyroid stimulating hormone in the Journal of Veterinary Internal Medicine, 2018. She has a special interest in endocrinology, geriatric feline medicine, and endoscopy. Her favorite part of veterinary medicine is helping find answers that improve the lives of patients and their loving families.
When not caring for patients, Dr. Amy Oberstadt enjoys teaching her dog an assortment of tricks, including the command, “sneeze.”
