Adam M. Townsend, DVM, Diplomate, ACVS-SA is a Board-certified Veterinary Surgeon at MedVet Cleveland, where he has been part of the team since 2023.

Dr. Townsend attended Pennsylvania State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Biosciences. He then earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine. Following earning his veterinary degree, he completed a yearlong small animal rotating internship at Cornell University Hospital for Animals and a surgery residency at the University of Wisconsin.

Dr. Adam Townsend has a special interest in orthopedic surgery, and fracture and trauma management. One of his favorite parts of practicing veterinary surgery is seeing an injured or ill pet recover and eat their first meal in days.

When not treating patients, Dr. Adam Townsend enjoys reading, hiking, swimming, boating, and fishing.
