Jose Guerrero Cota, DVM, Diplomate, ACVR, is a Board-certified Veterinary Radiologist at MedVet Vancouver, where he has been a part of the team since 2026.
Dr. Guerrero Cota earned his Bachelor of Science from California State University in Long Beach, CA and his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from University of California, Davis, School of Veterinary Medicine in Davis, CA. He then completed a yearlong rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the University of Minnesota Veterinary Medical Center in Saint Paul, MN. He went on to complete his residency in Radiology at the William R. Pritchard Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital at the University of California, Davis, CA.
Dr. Guerrero Cota maintains a particular interest in providing colleagues with useful diagnostic information that will directly impact case management. He is excited to expand his practice to offer outpatient ultrasound services for pets in our community.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Guerrero Cota enjoys museums, gardening, expanding his knowledge of indigenous art/culture, neurophysiology, and psychology, and spending time with his wife and their beloved cats and dog.
