Janice Tam, DVM
Janice Tan, DVM, is a Veterinary Surgery Intern at MedVet Cincinnati, where she joined in July 2026.
Dr. Tan earned her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from the University of California, Davis. She then went on to earn her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Following graduation, she completed a rotating internship in medicine and surgery before pursuing her specialty internship in surgery.
Dr. Tan is drawn to all aspects of veterinary surgery, including both soft tissue and orthopedic surgery. Her favorite part of veterinary medicine is finding solutions that promote animal well- being while advocating for access to veterinary care for pet owners. She is also fluent in Chinese (Mandarin).
Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Tan loves staying active through swimming and weight- lifting, as well as trying out different fitness classes. When she has time, she also enjoys tapping into her creative side through pottery and learning new pieces on the piano.
