Joy Kappesser, DVM, is a Veterinary Intern at MedVet Chicago, where she has been part of the team since 2026.
Dr. Kappesser attended Northern Kentucky University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. She then earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Kappesser enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine and has particular interests in critical care and internal medicine. She enjoys working through complex cases and collaborating with colleagues to develop thoughtful treatment plans for her patients. One of her favorite parts of the veterinary profession is helping improve the quality of life of pets while supporting their families through meaningful and sometimes challenging moments in their care.
When not caring for patients, Dr. Joy Kappesser enjoys cooking, spending time with family and friends, watching sports, weightlifting, and exploring new adventures with her dog, Kylo.
