Maura Wade, DVM, is an Emergency Medicine Veterinarian at MedVet Northern Virginia, where she has been part of the team since 2026.
Dr. Wade attended Northeastern University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in biology. She then earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine.
Although she enjoys all aspects of emergency veterinary medicine, Dr. Wade is especially passionate about supporting the human-animal bond and educating pet owners about their companion’s health and care. She values helping families navigate stressful and unexpected situations while ensuring they feel informed and supported throughout the process. One of her favorite parts of the veterinary profession is being there for pets and their families during times of need.
When not caring for patients, Dr. Maura Wade enjoys hiking and reading murder mysteries. She also enjoys spending time with her mixed-breed dog.
