Darya Ustinova, PT, DPT, CCAT
Certified Companion Animal Rehabilitation Therapist
Darya Ustinova, PT, DPT, CCAT, is a Certified Companion Animal Rehabilitation Therapist at MedVet Cincinnati, where she has been a part of the team since 2026.
Darya earned a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science degree in physical therapy from Charles University in Prague. She went on to complete the Certified Companion Animal Rehabilitation Therapist (CCAT) certificate program through the North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine.
She has a special interest in the rehabilitation of small animals following orthopedic and neurologic surgeries. She is particularly passionate about helping patients with neurologic conditions such as intervertebral disc disease and degenerative myelopathy. Her favorite part of rehabilitation therapy is seeing patients regain function, mobility, and comfort, especially when animals that were previously unable to walk are able to return to an active, happy life.
When not caring for patients, Darya enjoys spending time with her husband, traveling, and exploring new cities and national parks. She also enjoys relaxing at home with her two cats, Oakley and Taylor—Oakley being her inspiration for transitioning from human to veterinary rehabilitation medicine.
