Emergency Medicine Veterinarian

Catherine D. Ratcliff, DVM, MS, is an Emergency Medicine Veterinarian at WestVet Meridian, where she has been a part of the team since 2026.

Dr. Ratcliff earned her Bachelor of Science degree in geology from the University of Cincinnati. She then earned a Master of Science degree in earth sciences from the University of New Mexico before completing her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at the Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine.

Dr. Ratcliff’s professional interests include exotic animal medicine and surgery, specifically soft tissue surgery and wound healing. Her favorite part of the veterinary profession is problem solving and helping pet owners understand complex medical conditions so they can make informed decisions for their animals. She also values the opportunity to continue learning and growing her skills and expertise, even after more than a decade in the veterinary profession.

When not caring for patients, Dr. Catherine Ratcliff enjoys competing in crossword puzzles, including the annual American Crossword Puzzle Tournament, as well as yoga and spending time telemark and cross-country skiing.
