Emily Hill, DVM, MSc
Emily Hill, DVM, MSc, is Residency Trained in Veterinary Emergency & Critical Care at MedVet Columbus, where she has been a part of the team since 2025.
Dr. Hill earned a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in biological science and a minor in molecular biology and genetics from the University of Guelph. She went on to earn her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Ontario Veterinary College at the University of Guelph, as well as a Master of Science degree in animal biosciences from the University of Guelph. Following veterinary school, Dr. Hill completed an internship in Rotating Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at Mississauga-Oakville Veterinary Emergency Hospital before completing a residency in Emergency and Critical Care at the Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Hill’s professional interests include coagulopathies, electrolyte disturbances, respiratory medicine and interventions, sepsis, shock, and trauma. Her favorite part of the veterinary profession is the privilege of providing compassionate, high-level care during the most critical moments, combining complex medical decision-making with guiding families through uncertainty. She finds particular fulfillment in seeing patients recover and witnessing the joy of reunification with their families. Dr. Hill is also a co-author on a peer-reviewed publication examining coagulation abnormalities in dogs with sepsis, published in Frontiers in 2025.
When not caring for patients, Dr. Emily Hill enjoys spending time with Bert and Ernie, her two retired blood donor cats, hiking with friends, and swimming whenever possible.
