Prem Patel, DVM, is an Emergency Medicine Veterinarian at MedVet Atlanta and MedVet Chicago, where he has been a part of the team since 2025.
Dr. Patel earned a Bachelor of Science degree in microbiology from Auburn University before completing his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine.
His special interests include emergency medicine, internal medicine, and preventative medicine, as well as orthopedic and soft tissue surgery. Dr. Patel’s favorite part of the veterinary profession is connecting with clients and supporting both pets and their families during their time of need.
When not caring for patients, Dr. Prem Patel enjoys basketball, hiking with his Golden Retriever, Zeke, running, spending time with family and friends, and weightlifting.
