Melissa Johnson, DVM, MS, is an Emergency Medicine Veterinarian at MedVet Atlanta, where she has been a part of the team since 2025.
Dr. Johnson earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Southern Polytechnic State University. She then earned a Master of Science degree in biology from Georgia State University before completing her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine.
Her special interests include emergency medicine and surgery, and she takes pride in advocating for her patients, ensuring their needs are met, and being their voice during critical moments. Dr. Johnson’s favorite part of the veterinary profession is the opportunity to embrace new challenges each day while providing urgent care for pets in need.
When not caring for patients, Dr. Melissa Johnson enjoys riding her motorcycle, exploring the outdoors, and spending time with family and friends.
