Samantha Aumann, DVM, Diplomate, ACVECC, is a Board-certified Specialist in Veterinary Emergency & Critical Care at MedVet Atlanta, where she began caring for patients in 2025.
Dr. Samantha Aumann earned a Bachelor of Science degree in agriculture with a concentration in animal science from the University of Georgia. She then earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Following veterinary school, she completed a rotating medicine and surgery internship and a residency in emergency and critical care at BluePearl Veterinary Partners in Tampa, Florida.
Dr. Aumann’s clinical interests include transfusion medicine, snake envenomation, toxicities, and high-flow nasal oxygen therapy. She is especially passionate about intensive care, where she can provide advanced treatments to critically ill patients. One of her favorite parts of the veterinary profession is celebrating recovery milestones and seeing pets return home to their families after serious illness or injury. She has also authored peer-reviewed research in veterinary emergency and critical care.
When not caring for patients, Dr. Samantha Aumann enjoys spending time with her husband and son, hiking, camping, reading, and watching movies. She is also a cat lover and shares her home with two cats—a calico and a tripod tabby.
