Alec B. Repasy, DVM, DACVIM (Oncology)
Board-Certified Veterinary Oncologist
Alec B. Repasy, DVM, Diplomate, ACVIM (Oncology), is a Board-Certified Veterinary Oncologist at MedVet Columbus and MedVet Hilliard, where he has been caring for patients since 2025.
Dr. Repasy earned dual Bachelor of Science degrees in animal science and microbiology from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He then earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Following veterinary school, he completed a rotating medicine and surgery internship at Pet Emergency and Specialty Center – La Mesa before completing a residency in medical oncology at The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Repasy’s special interests include apocrine gland anal sac adenocarcinoma, chemotherapy, lymphoma, and quality of life support. His passion for oncology is also personal. After being the owner of a pet with an aggressive cancer diagnosis and having a mother who is a two-time survivor of stage IV breast cancer, Dr. Repasy developed a deep commitment to supporting families during these challenging times. He strives to create open conversations with families about the wide range of treatment options available, always emphasizing quality of life while helping each family make the best decision for their beloved pet.
Dr. Repasy’s favorite part of the veterinary profession is working together with pet families to improve their pets’ quality of life. He views each opportunity to provide compassionate care as a way to “pay it forward,” honoring the support his own veterinary mentors once provided to him.
When not caring for patients, Dr. Alec Repasy enjoys business and economics, exercising, hiking, psychology, and reading.
