Michael P. Sliman, DVM, MS, is a veterinarian who is Limited to the Practice of Surgery at MedVet Indianapolis, where he has been a part of the team since 2025.
Dr. Sliman earned a Bachelor of Science degree in microbiology from The Ohio State University. He then earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Following veterinary school, he completed a rotating medicine & surgery internship and a surgery residency at Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Sliman has also contributed to the advancement of veterinary medicine through published research in surgical techniques and perioperative care.
Dr. Sliman has special interests in emergency surgery, general orthopedic procedures, reconstructive and soft tissue surgery, and surgical oncology. He is especially passionate about helping pets recover from illness or injury so they can return to an active, comfortable life. For him, one of the most meaningful aspects of surgery is partnering with pet families to find solutions that support both the patient’s health and the family’s goals for their beloved companion.
When not caring for patients, Dr. Michael Sliman enjoys fishing, outdoor activities, water sports, and working out. He is also an avid fan of Cleveland and Ohio State sports and treasures time spent with family and friends.
