Lauren Smith, DVM, is a Specialty Intern in Veterinary Radiology at MedVet Indianapolis, where she joined the team in 2025.
Dr. Lauren Smith earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in environmental studies with double minors in chemistry and marine science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine. As part of her training, she completed her clinical year at the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Smith then completed a Rotating Medicine & Surgery Internship at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital.
Dr. Smith has a special interest in ultrasound and enjoys using advanced imaging to support accurate diagnoses and collaborative care. She values the opportunity to work closely with other veterinary specialties to ensure each pet receives thoughtful, well-rounded care.
Outside of the veterinary profession, Dr. Lauren Smith enjoys completing jigsaw puzzles, reading, and spending time with her three cats.
