Derrick Wang, DVM, is a Veterinary Intern at MedVet Silicon Valley, where he joined the team in 2025.
Dr. Derrick Wang earned a Bachelor of Science degree in animal science from the University of California. He then earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Western University of Health Sciences, College of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Wang has special interests in emergency medicine and surgery. He is driven by a desire to improve patient outcomes through precise, timely care and is especially motivated by the dynamic and collaborative nature of the veterinary profession. He values the opportunity to support pet owners while applying critical thinking and medical expertise in fast-paced environments.
Beyond the veterinary profession, Dr. Derrick Wang enjoys exploring diverse cultures through language learning, expressing creativity through painting, and relaxing with a good book.
